Dr. Samantha Slotnick, Clinical Director

“Although I am trained as an optometrist, my experiences as a patient have helped me to find my calling, as a Vision Therapist. There is a particular joy and satisfaction in applying science and our ever-evolving knowledge base for the personal application of a patient, or even for a parent or a family unit. Outside of the office, I have a Renaissance passion for the arts, music, singing and dancing, and I’m always eager to learn. Within our space, I seek to cultivate a creative, problem-solving environment among our therapists and our patients. Indeed, my favorite hobby as a child was to solve puzzles, and I often wished I could do so as a career. I’m fortunate to have found my way to behavioral optometry and vision therapy, where I can do what I love and connect with others in a rich and supportive therapeutic relationship."

“I’ve always seen myself working in a role that allows me to help and guide others. I've worked with infants and children in daycare and preschool, and I have an interest in personal training and fitness. I enjoy our work in the therapy room immensely, as I am able to enhance my empathic skills while also teaching others the control they have within themselves and their bodies."

“I have been with Dr. Slotnick since December of 2019. In 2020, during the pandemic, I moved to Texas and since then I have had the pleasure of continuing to work remotely. As an administrator, my role is to ensure our days run smoothly at the office. I enjoy the patient care coordination, making sure every patient is given access to the best care, and walks out of our office with a great experience. I believe we should all be kind and compassionate to one another, especially to those in need.”

“I joined Dr. Slotnick’s team in 2019, handling the patient billing and insurance issues of the practice. It’s been so rewarding watching the progress Dr. Slotnick’s patients have made, and seeing the role vision impacts on your life. In my free time I enjoy walking and yoga, and manage 2 book clubs per month. My “past lives” have included PTA president, swim instructor, lifeguard, graphic artist and database manager.”
