Just a quick post to draw attention to one of the often-overlooked considerations of strabismus surgery:

   All major surgeries come with the risk of anesthesia.  But the risk of putting infants under general anesthesia is tremendous.

   In a life-and-death crisis or critical circumstance, we often overlook this risk.  But for any elective procedure, we need to contemplate this risk carefully!
